There’s an increasing trend in the church community of prioritizing the “big story of the Bible” as an aid to reading and understanding Scripture. Although it is true that the Bible does have a primary overarching message, is the approach of reading every passage encountered in view of that perceived “big story” a helpful aid in reading well? That’s a question that needs some attention.
This two-evening intensive will examine the “big story” approach to reading Scripture, explore the benefits of keeping the “big story” in mind, and examine the need to hold loosely this popular approach to making sense of Scripture.
This class will be online for two Thursday evening, October 22 and 29, beginning at 6:30 pm (EST). After you’ve registered, you will be sent information about logging in to the class.Register Now
