Our relationship with the promised Spirit is essential to living out life in Jesus. The Holy Spirit remains unknown for many Christians. To the extent this is true, their experience of life with Jesus is hampered. Although the Spirit is to be experienced in life, the Scriptures provide the only appropriate framework for understanding the new life the Spirit provides, the empowerment He brings, the fruit He produces, and the gifting He provides every believer.
Most Christians speak of their relationship with the Father. They openly talk about Jesus, the Son. But when it comes to the Third Person of the Trinity, the Spirit, many Christians are unsure not only how to speak of the Spirit, but how to think of their own relationship with Him.
This six-week course explores what the Scriptures reveal about who the Spirit is and how vital it is for us to understand our relationship with Him. Although we will touch on the experiential dimension of life with the Spirit, the focus of the course will be on the Biblical truths that shape our understanding of the Spirit’s presence and power in our lives.
This course meets for six consecutive Tuesday evenings, beginning January 8, meeting from 6:30 until 8:30 each evening (Jan 8, 15, 22 ,29, Feb 5, 12).
